Lounge Share app · Last updated 2 November 2026

The short version

  • We collect what Lounge Share needs to work: your account, the flights you add, the status you ask us to verify, and what you do in the app.
  • We never sell your personal data, and the app contains no ads and no third-party trackers.
  • Hosts are never identified to guests.
  • Flights are deleted 30 days after the flight date. Meeting messages and photos are deleted 30 days after a booking ends.
  • You can delete your account in the app at any time.

1. Who is responsible

The controller is Techmatix GmbH, Chilenaustrasse 12, 8108 Dällikon, Switzerland. For anything about your data, write to privacy@techmatix.ai.

This policy follows the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, for users in the European Economic Area and the UK, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. What we collect and why

DataWhy we use it
Account: email address, name, language, and if you sign in with Apple or Google, the account identifier they give usTo create and secure your account, sign you in (including one-time codes sent by email) and show the app in your language.
Flights you add: flight number, date, origin, destination, departure time and terminal, and the name on your accountTo show the lounges at your departure airport, check which ones you can enter, and match hosts and guests on suitable flights.
Airline status you ask us to verify: airline, tier, optional membership number, expiry date, and a photo of your status cardSo our team can confirm your status. Verified status decides which lounges are shown as included for you, and whether you can host a guest.
Lounge memberships you declare (for example Priority Pass)To show which lounges your membership already covers. We don't verify these.
Offers and bookings: the lounge, the meeting time, each booking's status and history, and cancellationsTo run the matching between a host and a guest, and to resolve problems if something goes wrong.
Meeting messages: "I'm here" taps and the optional photo of where you're standingTo help host and guest find each other at the lounge entrance on the day.
Ratings, reports and lounge feedback: reviews of a booking, crowd reports, your answers about a lounge visit, and an optional photo of the loungeTo keep hosting fair and safe, and to tell other travellers what lounges are really like.
Usage: lounge searches, day-pass link taps, flight lookups, and an audit log of important account actionsTo run and secure the service, prevent abuse, limit paid flight-data lookups, and produce anonymous statistics (section 4).
Push notification tokenTo send you notifications about your bookings, if you allow them.

We don't use your location, contacts or advertising identifiers. The app uses your camera or photo library only when you choose to add a photo.

Legal bases (GDPR)

We process your data to provide the service you signed up for (Art. 6(1)(b)). We also rely on our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): keeping the service safe, preventing abuse and producing anonymous statistics. Push notifications and camera access are based on your consent, which you can withdraw in your phone's settings at any time (Art. 6(1)(a)). Where the law requires us to keep data, we do so on that basis (Art. 6(1)(c)).

3. What other users see

  • Guests never see who their host is. A guest sees the offer, the lounge, the meeting time, whether the host's status is verified, and the host's rating.
  • A host may see the name on the guest's account. Neither side sees the other's email address or flight details.
  • During a booking, both sides see each other's "I'm here" status and any photo of where they're standing.
  • Lounge feedback and crowd reports are shown to other travellers without your name, combined with other visitors' answers.

4. Anonymous statistics and partners

We combine searches and lounge feedback into anonymous statistics: for example, how many travellers looked for a lounge at an airport, or what share of visitors found a lounge worth it. We may share these statistics with lounge operators and travel partners. They never include your name, email, flights or anything that identifies you.

If you tap a link to buy a day pass, you leave Lounge Share for the seller's website, and their own privacy policy applies. The link may tell the seller that you came from Lounge Share, so we can earn a commission. We record that you tapped the link, but not what you buy.

5. Who we share data with

We share personal data only with service providers that process it for us, under contract, to run Lounge Share:
